Australian actor Miranda O’Hare began working professionally in 2007, after arriving to Sydney upon completion of her studies at The National Acting School in Canberra at age 19.
She has since gone on to achieve steady professional success on the small screen, the big screen, on stage, and as a professional model.
Miranda now divides her time between Sydney and LA.
Miranda’s Australian television credits include guest roles in Channel Seven’s hit series Packed to the Rafters and Home and Away; Channel Nine’s Cops LAC, ABC’s I Rock, American Series Deadly Women and a recurring role on ABC’s The Cut.
In 2008, Miranda played a supporting role in the hit Bollywood feature film, Virsa, alongside Bollywood A-lister Arya Babbar. She then returned to her hometown to play the title role in Graham Gall’s production of the short feature Wisdom, which was screened at Dendy Cinemas. Her feature film credits have since been building solidly with a small role in the American indie horror The Killing Hour.
Miranda also acts regularly in short films - acting as the lead in more than ten short films since 2007.
Since co- producing and acting in the Mardi Gras Theatre play, Hard On, in 2009—which went on to tour regionally to critical acclaim—Miranda returned to the theatre in February 2011 to play the leading role in Newtown Theatre’s Short and Sweet Festival production Deadline.
Miranda also has accolades as a professional model, being cast as the face of Clearasil for Cleo magazine for which she played the lead role of Amy in their viral advertising series The Social Diaries.
Continuing to consistently train since graduating from the National Acting School, Miranda has an impressive list of educational accomplishments under her belt. She has completed courses at On Camera Connections, a screen acting course at NIDA, the Eric Morris technique training course at TAFTA, accent training in standard American and English, vocal and dance training, as well as advanced practical aesthetics under the guidance of Damien Walsh Howling, Johnny Pavsolsky and Sandra Lee Patterson at On Camera Connections in Sydney.
Miranda has also trained with an impressive list of Casting Directors and acting coaches in LA.
She has recently begun training in the advanced class at the Ivana Cubback Studios, Ivana being one of the most respected and well known acting coaches and mentors in America and the world.
Miranda is represented in both Australia and The States by Gina Stoj Management and in New Zealand by Gail Cowan Management.
